Hout Bay Harbour Cleanup

Group holds regular cleanups of the heavily polluted Hout Bay harbour, removing plastic by hand and from boats. They focus on involving youth from the community in their efforts.

Renew the Elsieskraal River

Elsieskraal River, Pinelands, Cape Town

This group is working to transform the canalized Elsieskraal River into an active, thriving ecosystem through cleanups, tree planting and other intiatives. The Elsiekraal River is one of the longest rivers in Cape Town and a critical tributary of the Black River. Find them on Facebook:

Sea the bigger picture

Ocean and beach cleanups, Cape Town

Seathebiggerpicture's goal is to rid South African waters and beaches of all marine litter through education, cleanups and corporate engagement. They conduct regular beach cleanups (at least one per month) at different locations in Cape Town and are always looking for volunteers.
